Facilities Management: Occupant Behavior and High Performance Buildings

The focus of the panel is on the relationship between the performance buildings and occupant behavior. What is a “High Performance Buildings and how are they being implemented in our community. How is a building’s performance dependent on the behavior of its occupants? Where are the opportunities associated with occupant behavior with respect to energy efficiency, indoor environmental quality and water conservation? What are some approaches to improving a building’s performance via occupant behavior? What is needed to bring to light the interdependent relationship between building performance and occupant behavior and how does this impact the environment.
