Genevieve Taylor is Vice President at Global Genesis, where she delivers training in leadership, communications, time management, conflict resolution, and negotiations. She is also a partner for CircadiaOne, a new consulting firm devoted to guiding enterprise change to sustainability.

Genevieve Taylor is Vice President at Global Genesis, where she delivers training in leadership, communications, time management, conflict resolution, and negotiations.  She takes great delight in working with large groups as well as small groups, and facilitates using experiential education techniques along with methodologies such as Appreciative Inquiry and Systems Thinking to work with her clients in creating shared vision, strategic planning, mission development, and teambuilding.  For individuals, Genevieve offers 360 Leadership Assessments to help finely hone plans for personal leadership development. As a volunteer and social entrepreneur, she co-founded the annual Sustainable Enterprise Conference, as well as the San Francisco Urban Alliance for Sustainability. In 2009, she and several others decided to create a new venture called CircadiaOne, a consulting firm devoted to guiding enterprise change to sustainability.  She is proud to be a fellow of Leadership Santa Rosa, as well as the Leadership Institute of Ecology & The Economy.

Ryn Longmaid

Ryn Longmaid
Ryn officially joined the Sustainable Enterprise Coalition in 2007, and served as the marketing director for the conference in 2008. Ryn has managed all types of sustainability programs from energy efficiency to green education. She is currently working with the Paladin Law Group LLP® developing the Paladin Sustainability Leadership Institute.

Carl Shuller

Carl Shuller
Carl Shuller has over 18+ years of corporate experience, primarily in the areas of IT and program management, and recently made the transition into the social-profit sector. His formal education culminated with a Master Degree in Human Environment Relations from Cornell University. He is a trained facilitator of the Pachamama Alliance's 'Awakening The Dreamer ' Symposium and maintains that “together we can bring forth an environmentally sustainable, spiritually fulfilling and socially just human presence on this planet as a guiding principle of our times."

Carl has participated in numerous programs at the the Regenerative Design Institute including the 'Permiculture Design Course' and 'Ecology of Leadership'. He resides in Petaluma, CA where he is involved in the local Homegrown Guild and is grateful to be a part of such an amazing, evolving, and increasingly resilient community.

Pam Su

Pam Su
Pam Su is currently the Director of Campus Recreation at Sonoma State University, but has been with the university’s non-profit auxiliary, the Sonoma Student Union Corporation, for almost 20 years. After discovering her love for recreation as a soccer, basketball, and volleyball player while growing up, she received her BA in Human Physiology from UC Berkeley, and MS in Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance from Eastern Michigan University.

She was part of the design and development team for SSU’s Recreation Center, which opened in 2004 as one of the country’s greenest recreation centers at the time. Her long-time goals have been to promote, through recreation, student development and wellness, of which sustainability is a major component.
 
Pam has given several presentations at national conferences on incorporating sustainable design in recreation centers, and greening rec center operations.  She currently serves as Chair of the Sustainability Committee for the National Intramural Recreational Sports Association (NIRSA) and as NIRSA’s Liaison to the Higher Education Associations Sustainability Consortium (HEASC).  She writes a monthly sustainability column for NIRSA’s on-line newsletter, and hopes to be a part of transforming collegiate recreation’s role in sustainability education.  Her interests include white water kayaking, mt. biking, and growing things in her garden.

Tanya Narath

Tanya Narath
Prior to joining the Leadership Institute in 2005, Tanya held various IT development, support and management positions with Hewlett-Packard and Agilent Technologies. She is currently the Board Chair for Routes for Youth and is a member of the Pacific Region Advisory Council for the National Parks Conservation Association. She is the Chair of Santa Rosa’s Community Advisory Board and previously served on its Green Building Policy Advisory Committee.

Prior to joining the Leadership Institute in 2005, Tanya held various IT development, support and management positions with Hewlett-Packard and Agilent Technologies. In her role as the Chair of Friends of SMART, she works with community leaders from across the North Bay to inform the public of the benefits of rail and smart growth in Marin and Sonoma Counties. She was recently honored by the National Women’s History Project as one of 100 women “Taking the Lead to Save our Planet”. She holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of New Mexico and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin. In her spare time she enjoys reading, gardening, hiking and running marathons.

Prof. Robert Girling, Ph.D.

Prof. Robert Girling, Ph.D.
Robert Henriques Girling is a Professor in the School of Business at Sonoma State University. He received his Ph. D. from Stanford University and has taught and consulted in 20 different countries. Recently he has served as a consultant to the Caribbean Development Bank on sustainable development strategies for the island of Dominica and as a founder and organizer of the Sustainable Enterprise Conferences on Tools for Sustainable Businesses and Communities series.

Robert Henriques Girling is a Professor in the School of Business at Sonoma State University. He received his Ph. D. from Stanford University and has taught and consulted in 20 different countries. Recently he has served as a consultant to the Caribbean Development Bank on sustainable development strategies for the island of Dominica and as a founder and organizer of the Sustainable Enterprise Conferences on Tools for Sustainable Businesses and Communities series.

His previous professional experience includes teaching at the Federal University of Bahia where he was co-founder of the LIDERE Project for School Improvement and International Project Director, at the Federal University of Minas Gerais in Brazil, the University of the West Indies and American University in Washington D.C. He has consulted with the World Bank, USAID, the United Nations, and the International Center for Research on Women. He has served as Director of Regional Development for the Government of Jamaica, president of the CFA faculty union, as co-chair of the University Academic Planning Committee, as a member of the California State University Senate, and on the boards of non-profit organizations.

Prof. Girling is the author of over 50 articles and books including Structures of Dependency (1973); Multinational Institutions and the Third World (1985);Education; Management and Participation(1990) and A Escola Participativa [in Portuguese] (5th ed. 2006). He is currently writing a book “Good Companies”. He is a member of Phi Beta Delta [The Honor Society for International Scholars] and has received awards for his teaching and research. He is currently a Fulbright Senior Scholar for the period 2005-2010.

Oren Wool works as an Internet Technology consultant promoting ideas, policies, companies and products that embrace sustainable development and foster social equity. Recent clients include organizations focused on food safety, organic agriculture, plant medicine, fair trade, biodiversity and healthy lifestyles.

Oren Wool works as an Internet Technology consultant promoting ideas, policies, companies and products that embrace sustainable development and foster social equity. From his home in Northern California, he works to help organizations find Internet solutions to operational, organizational and communication deficits - generally using available open source technology. Recent clients include organizations focused on food safety, organic agriculture, plant medicine, fair trade, biodiversity and healthy lifestyles.

Oren directed the logistical operations for Indigenous Designs, a Fair Trade and Organic clothing company located in Santa Rosa, California, overseeing a near doubling of the company. He worked with cooperatives in Peru, Ecuador, Guatemala and India bringing organic artisan crafted contemporary clothing to the fashion industry.

Oren Wool was brought to the Organic Industry in northern California in 2002 as Chief Operating Officer at Simplers Botanical Company. Oren was pleased to spend his time implementing green business practices, supporting organic agriculture and promoting the use of plants as medicine.

Terry D. Taylor is an independent consultant who has worked successfully with organizations from small non-profits to international Fortune 500 entities and governments in all areas of the globe.

Terry received a MA in Educational Psychology from Stanford University and has worked with several organizations before forming his own consulting business in 1980. He specializes in strategic planning, training, and consulting in the arenas of negotiations, conflict resolution, high performance teamwork, and strategic change facilitation.

Jen Thille came from the Corporate World with over 15 years of experience in business and finance. After returning to college, she graduated from Sonoma State University in 2005 with a BA in Geology and she then went on to earn a Green MBA from Dominican University.

Jen served on both the Sebastopol Planning Commission and on the Sebastopol City Council. She is a founding board member of the Sebastopol CERT (Community Emergency Response Training) program and she recently served as Incident Commander on the Countywide CERT Training Drill. Jen is a fellow of the Leadership Institute for Ecology and the Economy and a new member of the Sebastopol Chamber of Commerce. Jen is currently looking to start a sustainable business that will assist with the transition to more sustainable communities.

In the spring of 2006, Ryn Longmaid attended the first Sustainable Enterprise Conference as a function of her position as Economic Development Specialist for the City of Sebastopol.

Having owned and operated a local business for years, sustainable business management resonated with her deeply. Ryn officially joined the Sustainable Enterprise Coalition in 2007, and served as the marketing director for the conference in 2008. Ryn has managed various sustainability programs and is currently the program manager for the executive certificate program: Green your MBA at Dominican University of California in San Rafael.
