Daily Acts

Daily Acts is a sustainability non-profit that offers tours and workshops which promote ecological design solutions to environmental and social crises. Our sustainability tours and workshops are classes on a wide variety of subjects from greywater installation and edible landscape design to personal ecology and leadership. We partner with municipalities to expand our reach, and educate thousands of individuals each year. Upcoming events and tours include the Sonoma County 350 Garden Challenge May 15th and 16th, Sustainable Seaweed Harvesting, and Cob Earthen Oven Building Workshop. The Cotati Chamber of Commerce is a volunteer member organization of business people and individuals that promote the economic well being of the City of Cotati and adjacent lands.  The Chamber fosters and promotes actions that enhance the local economy; provide employment, cultural, and recreational opportunities; and protect and preserve the environment.  We will continue to work together to ensure Cotati is an economically viable and desirable community in which to live and work.

Small Business Development Center at Santa Rosa Junior College

The Small Business Development Center, hosted by Santa Rosa Junior College, is a valuable resource for the small business communities in Marin and Sonoma counties. Funded by the U.S. Small Business Administration, Humboldt State University, and the Chancellor's Office of the California Community Colleges, the center assists small business by providing:

  1. One-on-one, no-cost, professional business counseling in many areas such as business planning, loans and capital acquisition, marketing, taxes and bookkeeping, and other areas of small business operations.
  2. Low-cost workshops and seminars customized to local business issues and industry clusters.
  3. A resource library providing information on small business issues; referrals; and Internet access with links to small business resources.


Specialized programs include The Sawyer Center — one-on-one counseling and informational assistance on new product development and intellectual property including patents, trademarks and copyrights; the Rx for Business Program — low-cost, comprehensive, on-site business analysis; NxLeveL Training — NxLeveL Training Programs for Start-ups, Entrepreneurs, and Farmers - practical, hands-on business development courses designed to help entrepreneurs advance their skills in starting growing and managing their business.

Our mission is to provide quality management and technical assistance for existing and potential small businesses, resulting in success for the entrepreneur, sustainable economic growth, and prosperity for all Californians.

Sonoma County Alliance

"A healthy environment depends upon a healthy economy."

The Sonoma County Alliance is a coalition of business, agriculture, labor and individuals incorporated to encourage a healthy economy, maintain a sound environment, protect private property rights and promote a responsive political process. The Alliance accomplishes these goals through public and member education and, from time to time, through advocacy before decision makers.

The purpose of the Sonoma County Alliance is to maintain a visible force in community affairs; engage elected officials in dialogue regarding the establishment of public policy; provide a forum for its membership concerning land use and development, housing, taxation and allied matters; and increase membership interest and participation in legislative and political affairs on a countywide basis.

Membership in the Sonoma County Alliance is open to any person, business, trade, agriculture, or labor organization, public or private. All share a mutual desire to pull their diverse talents together in an effort to put order and strength to their energies, thus making membership in the Sonoma County Alliance a tangible investment in the present and future welfare of Sonoma County. The Sonoma County Alliance network supports the interest of its’ members through representation, advocacy, and education.
