Prior to joining the Leadership Institute in 2005, Tanya held various IT development, support and management positions with Hewlett-Packard and Agilent Technologies. She is currently the Board Chair for Routes for Youth and is a member of the Pacific Region Advisory Council for the National Parks Conservation Association. She serves on Santa Rosa’s Community Advisory Board and its Green Building Policy Advisory Committee.
In her role as the Chair of Friends of SMART, she works with community leaders from across the North Bay to inform the public of the benefits of rail and smart growth in Marin and Sonoma Counties. She holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the University of New Mexico and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin. In her spare time she enjoys reading, gardening, hiking and running marathons. She is currently training to run her first Boston Marathon in April 2008.
